The Lebanese Banks' Day in Paris - Paris, France - October 27, 2011

Dr. Joseph Torbey stresses the importance of maintaining a strong banking sector and indicates that assets in Lebanese banks have reached $165 billion, four times larger than Lebanon’s GDP. Dr. Tobey’s declaration came during the “Lebanese Banks’ Day” held in Paris and organized by the Association of Banks in Lebanon and the Federation Bancaire Française. The event gathered Lebanese bankers and officials to discuss fostering cooperation between the financial sectors in the two countries.
